Jim Brickman
On a Winter’s Night
Pianist Jim Brickman is sort of like John Tesh for people with the good taste not to listen to John Tesh. And tasteful is certainly the right word for this collection, which ranges from elegant instrumental versions of hymns like “Through the Night” to songs featuring the likes of Kenny Rogers and John Oates. Your mom will like it, even if you don’t. And sometimes you have to listen to what your mom likes, especially on Christmas. (Hi, Mom!)
