After the obligatory sociality of Christmas and the cutthroat commercial orgy of Boxing Day, you’ll probably feel like barricading yourself at home until sometime in January. But what fun would that be?

Don’t worry, we’re not about to tell you that you have to go to yet another Christmas party. In fact, the name of the event we’re talking about here is actually Relax, It’s Not Another Christmas Party, Party. It takes place at the Imperial on Saturday (December 27) and is headlined by a pair of Vancouver’s best bands, Bend Sinister (pictured) and Gay Nineties, with guests the Tourist Company.

But wait! That’s not all. Not only is this a chance to shake off your between-holidays lethargy, but it’s also a drive for blankets and coats for the Blanket B.C. Society. So not only will you get a proverbial warm feeling inside, but someone else will literally get warm thanks to you. Convinced yet?
