We’re officially into December, which means it’s time to start making New Year’s Eve plans lest you plan on watching your Uncle Marty get sloshed on champagne and gin martinis for the fifth year in a row.

And when it comes to NYE shindigs, few people do it better than Hotel Vancouver. The historic venue has played host to the city’s largest New Year celebration for four years now and the countdown to 2017 promises much of the same fun from parties past.

Produced by local event-planning team Arrival Agency, this year’s bash once again features multiple rooms housing a jam-packed lineup of performers, where guests can mix, dance, and mingle into the wee hours of the morning.

Highlights include local cover band Tainted Lovers, who will be headlining the grand Pacific Ballroom, as well as performances by the female-run Luciterra Dance Company and the Orchid Club’s burlesque troupes.

The British Ballroom will feature a hip-hop, R&B, and party-starting jams by Hedspin, Wmnstudies, and Erica Dee, while Koosh, Matt Hudolin, and Derrick Vnuk will take over the Waddington Room with an eclectic blend of house, techno, and disco.

The Board Room will boast hip-hop and R&B beats by local DJs Zeeaa, Christian Flores, and Flørist, and the Vancouver Island Room will serve as the designated VIP zone, where guests can kick back to the chill sounds of Hubbz and Mr. Pablo while enjoying sips from a private bar and bites from the Hotel Vancouver’s kitchen.

Hotel Vancouver's New Year's Eve event takes place on December 31 from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. Tickets start at $99 and are now available online.
