Prior to its miraculous renovation in 2011, the Electric Owl was a bikers’ haven also haunted by the lost souls of the DTES, and the sort of place you’d expect Heartless Bastards singer Erika Wennerstrom to know her way around—judging by her bluesy, tortured-badass voice. That powerful, distinctive delivery has earned Wennerstrom some hefty laurels, not to mention raves for being the best thing to come out of Cincinnati, Ohio, since, well, ever. On Saturday (April 7) you’ll have the chance to witness it live when Heartless Bastards take over the Owl for the night in support of their latest album, Arrow.
