Light Organ Records's Christmas sampler rings the bells

Light Organ Records is toasting the recent holiday-themed sampler Light Organ Records...With Bells On with a big winter bash at the Waldorf next Thursday (December 8), but surprisingly, show headliners Sun Wizard are missing from the Christmassy collection.

“We were so busy with touring,” drummer Ben Frey told the Straight. “By the time we were back, there wasn’t time to get in studio and bang out a cover or an original thing.”

The skinsman said that Sun Wizard’s performance, which follows sets from Fine Times, Adrian Glynn, and Louise Burns, will still be full of cheer, and he hinted that the quartet could even show up on-stage dressed as elves or reindeer, so long as Light Organ head Jonathan Simkin shows up as Jolly Old St. Nick. “He could pull off a really good Santa Claus,” Frey said before letting out a hearty “ho ho ho”.
