Nü Sensae drummer Daniel Pitout takes time out for the AIDS Day Music Project
Nü Sensae drummer Daniel Pitout is taking some time away from the stage this month to promote his new nonprofit organization, the AIDS Day Music Project. “I grew up in South Africa, where AIDS is a big issue,” Pitout told the Straight. “I’ve lost close family members and friends to AIDS, and I have friends who live with HIV. I’ve always been a supporter of AIDS awareness.”
Anyone who donates $10 or more to the organization will be entered in a raffle to win signed merchandise from the likes of Grimes, Dum Dum Girls, Mac DeMarco, and more. The draw takes place at the end of the month, with proceeds to be split between the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research and AIDS Vancouver. More information at the aidsday website.
