Olio Festival takes over Vancouver
What can we say about a festival showcasing more than six dozen carefully curated musical acts? Well, we can start by listing a few of them. At the fourth annual Olio Festival, which runs at various venues until Sunday (September 23), you can catch sets by Brasstronaut, Teen Daze, Hot Panda, Hard Drugs, Bend Sinister, Julie Doiron, King Dude, the Gay Nineties, the Ballantynes, Father John Misty, Shout Out Out Out Out, Gang Signs, Twin River, Tough Lovers, Young Pacific, and more that we don’t have room to name here. (You can find a complete list at the Olio Festival website.) But wait! That’s not all: Olio also has comedy, film, art, and fashion components. In other words, it offers you a chance to fully immerse yourself in the culture of now. So, what else can we say about it? Just one more word: go.
