Radiohead stage collapse kills one man in Toronto
Scaffolding crumbled and killed a man more than three hours before a scheduled Radiohead concert in Downsview Park in Toronto.
According to a report in the Toronto Star, the man in his 30s died as a result of a "heavy, crushing injury" when metal debris collapsed on top of him around 4 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
A 45-year-old man is in hospital with injuries that are not considered life threatening.
Radiohead's Toronto show has been cancelled because of the stage collapse.
The Toronto Star reported that the collapsing stage sounded like fireworks.
The concert has been cancelled and Radiohead has tweeted its followers to stay home.
Unlike some other stage collapses in recent years, this occurred in sunny weather with a mild breeze.
