According to a report in the Toronto Star, the man in his 30s died as a result of a "heavy, crushing injury" when metal debris collapsed on top of him around 4 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.

A 45-year-old man is in hospital with injuries that are not considered life threatening.

Radiohead's Toronto show has been cancelled because of the stage collapse.

The Toronto Star reported that the collapsing stage sounded like fireworks.

The concert has been cancelled and Radiohead has tweeted its followers to stay home.

Unlike some other stage collapses in recent years, this occurred in sunny weather with a mild breeze.

Are the stages just getting too large and complex?

Are they being erected by highly qualified people under the direct supervision of engineers?

It's happening too often.
