With Aaron Shubert’s departure, Stephen Lyons has taken on booking for the Rickshaw Theatre. Besides his own work as a musician (Fond of Tigers, Cloudsplitter), Lyons also runs the label Offseason, and his highly eclectic Offseason festival memorably descended on the Railway Club for two days in 2009. Lyons told the Straight we can expect the same commitment to diversity at the Rickshaw.
“We’re working with Timbre, SWAK, and LiveNation like we’ve always done, but we don’t have to swing for the fences with every show. We also want to be more relevant to the local scene and artists at an earlier stage of their development.”
