NDP Leader Adrian Dix has held his seat of Vancouver-Kingsway, where he's been the MLA since 2005.

With 28 of 140 ballot boxes counted, Dix has 56.45 percent of the vote. B.C. Liberal Gurjit Dhillon is second with 35.84 percent.

The NDP is not faring as well as it had hoped across the province. The B.C. Liberals are leading in 50 seats, which if it holds would be enough to give the governing party a majority.
