Christy Clark hangs onto a narrow lead in Vancouver–Point Grey

    1 of 1 2 of 1

With 44 of 147 ballot boxes counted, B.C. Liberal Leader Christy Clark has an edge of fewer than 100 votes over her NDP rival, David Eby.

Clark has 46.54 percent in the constituency, which includes the UBC campus, compared to 44.8 percent for Eby, a civil-rights lawyer.

Clark edged Eby in a 2011 by-election, but he's hoping to be the giant killer tonight.

The B.C. Liberals have a healthy lead in seats over the NDP, suggesting that Clark may remain in the premier's office.

But if Eby triumphs in this constituency, Clark may have to find a safe seat to get back into the legislature.

With 51 ballot boxes counted she is down by 20 votes. Going to be very very close.

Would be great if she loses her seat..She is not a true liberal..rather, she represents the marriage of the social credit and reform party.. Thank god there is hope the BC will vote for a true liberal in the next Federal Election..Justin Trudeau!!

I can not understand why voters would not support a Premier as their MLA? Just makes no sense in not doing everything possible to have the most powerful politician in the province as one that you can say is your representative and have direct access to them. Now we will have a MLA that most likely will not have any official capacity or ability to form change for his constitutes.
