SkyTrain service disrupted on Millennium Line

    1 of 1 2 of 1

SkyTrain service has been halted on much of the Millennium Line because of a computer problem, TransLink says.

Trains are not running between VCC-Clark and Braid stations, according to an alert posted on TransLink’s website today (June 17) at 2:53 p.m.

TransLink plans to operate bus bridges between VCC-Clark and Lougheed stations, and between Braid and Lougheed stations.

All SkyTrain stations between VCC-Clark and Lougheed are being closed until the problem is fixed, TransLink says.

The service disruption has not affected the Expo Line or Canada Line.

Although there were bus bridges to take passengers, translink didn't have staffs to guide the passengers to take which bus. It was in a mass and was seen that staffs doing nothing but gathering in the entrance of Braid Station.

We at Translink hear your frustration and can assure you we are doing everything possible to ensure our Executive continue to receive their annual salarie increase no matter service performance.

We agree that all problems are caused by our lazy employees and our dong our best to have them replaced, or at least lower their incomes significantly.

There is an Operator on the Broadway platform telling people where to get off and take bus 156 from Braid to Lougheed Town Centre. Unfortunately there is no bus at the Braid station....it was a super long line up. that is ridiculous

Translink, you stink! People are paying more for transit services, and getting less in return. How about the members of the Translink board commute ONLY by bus, skytrain or seabus daily? No? Well then, just hop in your taxpayer funded gas-trap and cruise by those waiting in the long lines at the stations!

      Suck it up

@ -- 'Worst day ever' and you nearly cried because your commute was delayed - really? First world problems . . .

They handled this very badly. Not enough staff to tell people what to do, confusing and conflicting directions, and "bus bridges" with hardly any buses. I ended up riding various buses around all afternoon, and standing in various queues, and finally got to Braid just as service was restored. Meh. You'd think they'd have something in place for situations like this, because it all seemed very half-assed.

Good thing the translink board have found the best of the best managers to make sure transit riders are getting great service. I wonder how many actually ride transit. Oh wait, they do not have to because they make 6 digit salaries!
