Fraser Health says an investigation by the College of Dental Surgeons of B.C. found a man offering dental treatment services in Surrey without a licence.

The regional health authority has issued an advisory for patients of Valentyn Uvarov, who practiced at 14275 62nd Avenue.

According to Fraser Health, these patients could be at risk of blood-borne infections, such as hepatitis B and C and HIV, due to exposure to non-sterile materials.

"CDSBC’s investigation identified concerning infection prevention and control practices, including the potential re-use of anesthetic containers. Fraser Health believes that this may pose a risk of infectious disease transmission to clients," the advisory states.

Fraser Health says anyone who was treated by this man should call 8-1-1 or contact their health-care provider.
