Sean Holman exposes how tax dollars are used to polish B.C. Liberal government's image

If you want to know how the B.C. Liberal government spends your money, look no further than this post by intrepid Mount Royal University journalism professor Sean Holman.

It spells out the recommended responses for Advanced Education Minister Andrew Wilkinson on CBC Radio's Daybreak South program for an interview on February 27.

Wilkinson went on the air to rebut claims by Holman that government communications staffers don't respond to or give nonresponses to questions from journalists.

When Holman filed a freedom-of-information request for Wilkinson's speaking notes, it took 49 days for the government to respond. That was 19 days longer than permitted under provincial legislation.

As Holman pointed out, Wilkinson kept to the script supplied by publicly funded communications advisers.

Wilkinson is a Rhodes scholar with degrees from medical school and law school. It's remarkable that a person with his education would lower himself to being a dummy for faceless ventriloquists working in the public-affairs branch.

Rhodies or not, if they serve the BC Libs, they're all dummies.
