Vancouver's Vasek Pospisil's next opponent in the Wimbledon singles competition will be either Scotland's Andy Murray or Croatia's Ivo Karlovic.

Pospisil, 25, moved on to the quarterfinals in the grand-slam event at the All England Club after defeating Serbia's Viktor Toicki in five sets.

Toicki took the first two sets 6-4 and 7-6, but Pospisil came roaring back to take the final three sets.

Meanwhile, Pospisil and his doubles partner, Jack Sock, are also playing today.

Last year, they won the Wimbledon doubles competition.

However in Canada, Pospisil's achievement was overshadowed by another Canadian, Eugenie Bouchard, making it to the Wimbledon women's singles final.
