You're more likely to be shot by police in BC than hurt in a terrorist attack!

"You're more likely to be shot by police in BC than hurt in a terrorist attack!"...

      If you're mentally ill.
The community has allowed the government to walk away from it's responsibility toward the mentally ill. And we aren't saving lives or money doing it this way.

      And also

Given the voting history in this province, & thus the quality of people in general, there are going to be police officers who shouldn't be police officers, but considering most don't ever have to unholster their weapons and really don't like the idea of ever having to do so, I don't know why anyone would assume they aren't destroyed by that action. Is it because you don't see them weeping on live TV for our benefit? (Transit police notwithstanding, those folks are just screwed)

I'm sure most of the police would prefer we find a better solution for helping mentally ill people so this won't happen so often. 15 times a year is too often.
