The Vancouver police forensic-identification unit was dispatched to a downtown park after a man was found dead just before 10 p.m. last night.

He was found in Andy Livingstone Park, which is along Expo Boulevard on the edge of Chinatown.

Police believe he is a homicide victim and say that more information will be provided as it becomes available.

The park was named after long-time NPA park commissioner Andy Livingstone. It opened in 1995 and was financed from community-amenity contributions by Concord Pacific.
