Vancouver police have announced that Matthew Brenner, 26, is in custody in connection with a weekend homicide.

He's been charged with second-degree murder after witnesses found a dead body in Andy Livingstone Park on Friday (July 17) night.

Police captured a man seen fleeing near the scene.

The 20-year-old park is bounded by Expo Boulevard, Columbia Street, and Keefer Street near the edge of Chinatown.
