Poll suggests Stephen Harper has a credibility issue with many soft Conservative voters
According to a new poll, nearly three-quarters of committed Conservatives believe Stephen Harper when he says he didn't know about his former chief of staff's decision to pay $90,000 in expenses rung up by Sen. Mike Duffy.
However, the Angus Reid Institute has reported that among those self-identifying as soft Conservatives, only 35 percent believe the prime minister.
Another 23 percent don't believe him and 42 percent said they "don't know".
Among all respondents including Harper haters, 59 percent don't believe Harper.
Yesterday, Harper's former legal counsel, UBC law professor Benjamin Perrin, testified that the former chief of staff, Nigel Wright, revealed the existence of the payment to his successor, Ray Novak.
The Conservatives have claimed that Novak had no knowledge of Wright's payment to Duffy.

Credibility Issue? If had any credibility it would be an issue but Mr. Harper has gone out of his way to ensure he has none. He lied about the Duffy affair, he lied about the new money he is giving Canadian Families and he lied about the economy. And that is what we know about. Someone care to shine a flash-light into the closet?
