SkyTrain is back in service everywhere except King George Station after lengthy delays

The TransLink website includes a litany of service disruptions caused by a major windstorm.

A power outage has closed King George Station, which is the easternmost stop on the Expo Line.

Buses are shuttling people between there and Surrey Central Station.

However, service has returned to the rest of the rapid-transit lines.

For a long time today, the Expo Line trains were only running between Waterfront Station and Metrown Station and from New Westminster Station to Surrey Central.

That's because of "track issues" between Royal Oak and Edmonds stations.

In fact, the SkyTrain was hit by tree branches.

Unifor Local 111 president Nathan Woods tweeted images of what happened. You can see them below.

During these delays, TransLink set up bus bridges to ensure passengers could reach their destinations.

There have also been delays with some West Vancouver Blue Bus service and those travelling to Horseshoe Bay for the ferry are advised to leave as early as possible.

In addition, several other buses were rerouted. The full list is available here.
