A park in North Vancouver that's popular with hikers, joggers, and dog-walkers is closed until further notice.

Lynn Headwaters Regional Park was shut down after heavy rain caused debris to spill onto its entrance road, according to a Saturday (January 11) post on the Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Facebook page.

In an update posted this morning (January 13), Metro Vancouver said that geotechnical engineers are being brought to the park to assess the situation.

Lynn Headwaters protects much of the Lynn Creek watershed and offers trails to destinations such as the Lynn Peak lookout, Norvan Falls, and Crown Mountain.
