Update: SkyTrain service was fully restored shortly after 11 p.m., according to a TransLink media release.

Update: Shortly before 5:30 p.m., TransLink spokesperson Anne Drennan told reporters train service out of the downtown core would remain disrupted for up to two more hours. She advised commuters to seek alternative modes of transportation.

This afternoon, SkyTrain service has been interrupted on the Expo and Millennium lines between Waterfront to Broadway stations.

Shuttle buses were put in place and nobody was stranded on any trains, according to a statement issued by TransLink.

The problem is being blamed on a power problem on a train between Stadium and Main Street stations.

Service has been unaffected on the Canada Line.
