Victim of Richmond dog attack says it was a Rottweiler-husky and not a pit bull that bit her

      A woman viciously attacked by a dog in Richmond has taken to social media to clarfiy some details.

      Kati Mather wrote on Facebook that it was a husky and Rottweiler that repeatedly bit her and not a pit bull, as had been reported on New Year's Eve.

      Steve Mather posted that his daughters Jessi and Kati were the ones who were attacked.

      "Jessi is stitched up and doing ok, and Kati is going in for emergency surgery as I type this!" he wrote.

      The mauling took place in the 9200 block of Williams Road on December 30.

      RCMP shot the animal and it's in the care of the Richmond Animal Protection Society.
