It was a real-live cops and gangsters chase in Surrey and Delta last night.

Surrey Mounties say three suspects are in custody following a wild pursuit.

It began at 142nd Street and 48th Avenue when a man in a red pickup called to say he was being fired on by people in a Pontiac sedan. 

Police chased the suspects, who raced toward the border before turning back toward North Delta.

They crashed at River Road and 80th Avenue, where the three people were arrested.
