Catfe has shut its doors until Friday (January 8).

It's because there are not enough kitties on the premises on the second floor of the International Village mall.

"Due to the overwhelming success of adoptions in our first few weeks, we have run out of cats!" the company says on its website.

Normally, Catfe allows a maximum of 16 people at a time in its cat lounge.

It describes itself as "part cafe, part foster home for cats", as well as a gathering place for lovers of the four-legged creatures.

"Living at Catfe provides cats with a safe space where they can wander about at will, socialize with people and live normal lives, rather than being cooped up in a cage," the company says.
