This week, you may have seen TV images of the so-called smiling bandit.

He's been linked to nine bank robberies in East Vancouver and Burnaby since January 20.

Today, the Vancouver Police Department announced that a suspect was arrested after a 10th robbery at the TD branch at 4994 Kingsway in Burnaby.

It came following a monthlong investigation by the Vancouver Police Department’s major crime section and Burnaby RCMP’s robbery unit.

“This is just another example of working cooperatively and in a coordinated manner with our policing partners to identify and arrest a suspected prolific offender,” Burnaby RCMP supt. Steph Drolet said in the VPD news release.
