The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team will hold a news conference at 2 p.m. today to provide information about a high-profile case.

A suspect has been arrested in the murder of Julie Paskall, a 53-year-old hockey mom who was killed in an apparent robbery outside the Newton Arena on December 29.

The murder, Surrey's 25th of 2013, triggered widespread community outrage about the level of safety in Newton and ripped open a growing political divide between Mayor Dianne Watts and Coun. Barinder Rasode.

Paskall was at the arena to pick up her teenage son, who was refereeing a hockey game.
