Vancouver's gang wars appear to be heating up with the rising temperature in the city.

Vancouver police have identified Thanh Tung Tran, 33, as the man shot dead at the entrance to his home on Gladstone Street near East 29th Avenue.

Police used the term "targeted", which means he was the intended victim.

He was killed around 11:30 p.m. on June 7.

The next day, there was a drive-by shooting, also believed to be targeted, on a man at a Chevron station on East Hastings Street near Vernon Drive.

He was slightly wounded and police said he was treated at the scene. A woman who was also wounded was sent to hospital.

Media outlets have reported that the woman is Mia Deakin, 28, who appeared on the cancelled reality TV show Real Housewives of Vancouver. She's the daughter of Jody Claman, who was a central character.

Yesterday, police said that the woman is recovering and is in stable condition.

Meanwhile, the Vancouver Sun's Kim Bolan has revealed that the man who was shot is 27-year-old Jeffrey Chang, who's affiliated with the Wolf Pack gang alliance.

Tran was reportedly linked to rival gangs.

You were a wretched human being, you and you're mom. But I would never wish that even the most vile of people should get shot. Horrible tragedy.

Maybe you can use this experience to act a little nicer in the future.

      Please.
      The shooting: real.

      The TV show: fake.

      Rinse and repeat.
