Vancouver councillor Geoff Meggs has republished his controversial blog post that angered the False Creek Residents Association.

The piece is about the delayed delivery by developer Concord Pacific of new green space in the neighbourhood.

Meggs previously took it down following an uproar from False Creek residents. They demanded that he recuse himself from a public hearing on a Concord Pacific development plan.

The councillor's post noted that city staff has set out in “ clear terms” the process about the delivery of a new park.

Meggs didn’t take himself out of the public hearing Wednesday (June 11) on Concord Pacific’s proposal to build two 28-storey and 30-storey condo towers. Council approved the developer’s plan. Meggs voted in favour.

“Now that Concord has won the day, Clr Meggs reposts his blog,” the residents association tweeted.

As for the long-awaited extension of Creekside Park, the neighbourhood group noted in the same Twitter message: “Still No timeline for park.”

What transparency means to Vision counselors: only when it's someone else.

      An utter disgrace.

There will be no park. If anything, perhaps a little border `decoration here and there that they can call a "greenspace."
