Abbotsford police are asking for the public's help in locating a man who robbed an 89-year-old woman.

On April 14 at 2 p.m., the woman and her daughter left a credit union in the 32700 block of South Fraser Way.

As the woman attempted to get into her car, the suspect, who followed them out of the financial institution, grabbed her purse, pulling her to the ground.

The suspect fled north from the parking lot.

The victim was taken to hospital to treat several injuries, including scrapes and abrasions.

The man is described as a Caucasian male in his 20s with a thin build. He was wearing a blue Bench hooded jacket.

Anyone with information about this incident should call the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225, text them at 222973 (abbypd), or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
