Mounties say they arrested two men early this morning outside a home in the 5700 block of Birney Avenue on UBC's Point Grey campus.

"While the investigation remains in its preliminary stages, police can confirm that they are investigating allegations of sexual assault," the RCMP stated in a news release. "The suspects and the victims are not known to each other."

Officers from E Division's major crime criminal investigations unit have been on the scene today.

There's no word whether this incident is linked to a woman being assaulted by a stranger on March 25 in the same neighbourhood.

There have also been several reports in recent months of a late-night prowler in female residences on the Point Grey campus.
