The City of White Rock says some properties have no water in the wake of a massive fire on Pacific Avenue. Other properties have water that's discoloured.

"We do not believe that the discoloured water is a health concern," the city website states, "however as a precaution a boil water advisory is still in effect."

Officials anticipate that water will be restored to all buildings later today.

The blaze broke out early this morning.

It started in a building under construction at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Johnston Road before spreading to an apartment complex.

All residents managed to escape, but some have been left homeless.
