Police investigate targeted shooting in Vancouver's South Cambie neighbourhood

      Police are investigating what appears to be a targeted shooting on Vancouver's West Side, close to Queen Elizabeth Park.

      Police responded to a call at 10:30 p.m. on May 15 about multiple shots being fired in the 500 block of West 27th Avenue.

      They arrived in the South Cambie neighbourhood to find the driver of a silver vehicle had been shot and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was known to police and his death is the third homicide this year in the city.

      Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Vancouver Police Department.
