Respect MP George Galloway attacked on a London street
One of Britain's most controversial politicians is out of hospital after being attacked in London.
George Galloway, the Respect MP for Bradford West, was posing for photos in Notting Hill when a man jumped him and started throwing punches.
According to one witness, the man was screaming about the Holocaust as he rained blows on Galloway, a strong supporter of Palestinians and a frequent critic of Israel.
Neil Masterson, a 39-year-old resident of Camden Hill, has been charged with assaulting Galloway and another man who rushed to the MP's aid.
According to news reports, Galloway may have suffered a broken rib and a broken jaw.
Earlier this month in response to the war between Israel and Hamas, Galloway declared his constituency to be an "Israel-free zone".
That resulted in a police investigation.

An incendiary bigot who belongs to and advocates for one superstition against another superstition is not my idea of a strong supporter of anything.

Galloway had a brush with a violent Zionist for sticking up for the Palestinian victims of Israeli apartheid. He got off pretty well considering the Zionists generally use lethal force against opponents of their ever-expanding (check the time elapsed maps online showing the steady expansion of the State of Israel) "greater Israel."
The press coverage is interestingly different than it would be if a Jihadist had attacked George.

Given Galloway's history if grandstanding I have little doubt he arranged this attack himself. His dedication to the cause is without question and he would happily take one for the team to keep the fires stoked.

The country of Israel is a superstition? Israelis are a superstition?

I often wonder what positions current supporters of the Israeli apartheid held in the 1980s, in regards to South Africa.

@RUK
I find your comment about Netenyahu to be illuminating.

Proof please. Otherwise your comment is useless.
Why keep calling Israel an apartheid state?

Arab citizens, women, LGBT all have equal rights in Israel. Some of all the aforementioned have roles in the Israeli government.
This word, apartheid, I don't think you understand what it means.
Wanna see apartheid? Have a look at the rights Jews and Christians have in Muslim countries. That's more to the point.
I'm confused about this word that keeps getting applied to the only democracy in the Middle East.

One of the few politicians who speaks an uncomfortable truth. Too bad Britain and the US didn't listen to him on Iraq - what a mess that is today. Eerily weird the silence when Israel kills several 1000 people in caged Gaza every few years. Palestinians have the right to defend themselves from land and resource grabs and eventual annihilation - and don't give me the rockets (upgraded fireworks) argument. Where is the building/infrastructure destruction in Israel if they are truly a threat. Don't expect Trudeau or Mulcair to be any different than Harper on this issue - they both step to the same tune. Last year Stephen Bronfman (Trudeau's new fundraiser/handler) gushed in the G&M that Justin is very 'saleable' and that after he took him on a trip to Israel, Justin was referring to Israel as 'we'. Read it for yourself, also pick up a copy of Goliath by Max Blumenthal if you want to know what's really happening on the ground over there. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/stephen-bronfman-to-lead-tr...

Galloway is a "respected MP"? By whom?
