Photos: Trading in Aprons for Gloves at the 2016 Restaurant Rumble
Earlier today, we made our way down to the Commodore Ballroom to catch a few of the undercard fights at this year's Restaurant Rumble.
Hosted by the Aprons for Gloves Boxing Association (AFGBA), the fifth annual event pits employees from restaurants, breweries, cafes and eateries around Vancouver and beyond against each other, in support of a unique outreach program at Eastside Boxing Club. All funds raised through the event will allow at-risk women and youth to receive free mentorship and training at the gym.
Each contender was required to try out for the competition and meet a series of fundraising targets, while undergoing intense trainging at the Eastside Boxing Club.
The event's main card doesn't start until 7 p.m. tonight, and tickets for the event are still available.
Stay tuned tomorrow to find out the final results of the event. For now, here are a few shots from this afternoon's undercard.
