City of Vancouver seeks feedback about 800 Robson Street public plaza

For the past five summers, Vancouver City Council has been experimenting with closing Robson Street between the Vancouver Art Gallery and the Law Courts into seasonal pedestrian plazas with VIVA Vancouver installations.

In April, Vancouver city council voted to create a permanent public plaza at 800 Robson Street.

The city will be collecting feedback about the space until September 30.

They're looking for information about how citizens and businesses would like to use the space, what the space should look like, what programming people would like to see in the space, and how the space may affect transportation and other adjustments.

Feedback can be given in a number of ways.

You can visit 800 Robson Street on Thursday (September 15) from 12 to 6:30 p.m. to give your suggestions and comments in person.

You can also answer some or all of the questions written on the pavement at 800 Robson Street by using Twitter or Instagram and the hashtag #vivarobson. (Answers given before September 30 are eligible to win a prize.)

An online questionnaire is also available.

      Ideas can also be emailed.
