The Vancouver Police Department announced today (September 13) that they're searching for a missing 29-year-old student Japanese student.

Natsumi Kogawa, who was studying English in this city, was last seen in downtown Vancouver last Wednesdsay (September 7).

She is an experienced traveller but she was last in contact with her friends on September 8. Family and friends have not heard from her since.

She is Asian, 4'11" tall, with a slim build, long hair, and brown eyes. She may be carrying a black backpack.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact police.

A Facebook page has been set up to coordinate efforts to locate her.
