A new poll from Angus Reid Institute Public Interest Research shows that B.C. premier Christy Clark's approval rating has risen two percentage points between September and December.

She's now at 34 percent. Her lower rating was released in September while B.C. teachers were on strike.

Clark is tied for second worst with Newfoundland and Laborador premier Paul Davis among the premiers.

The only lower rating was 17 percent for embattled Manitoba premier Greg Selinger.

The most popular premier remains Saskatchewan's Brad Wall, who has a 65 percent approval rating, followed by Alberta's Jim Prentice at 50 percent and Nova Scotia's Stephen McNeil at 48 percent.

Quebec premier Philip Couillard has a 41 percent approval rating, which is slightly above the 39 percent reported for Ontario's Kathleen Wynne.

      I spot a pointless poll

This is irrelevant until the next election folks and even then it only excites or depresses those who confuse voting with opinion polls. Polling has become increasingly skewed and less related to the opinions of those who actually bother to vote. The introduction of online polling has also made the data acquired less reliable thanks to inherent biases in that polling method.
