Police bomb squad detonates explosive devices discovered in East Vancouver
It was a tense situation for some Vancouver police officers last night after they found what looked like two grenades inside a vehicle.
According to a Global B.C. News report, it came during a routine traffic stop near the Esso station at the corner of King Edward Avenue and Fraser Street.
The bomb disposal unit safely removed and then detonated the devices in the field at Sir Charles Tupper secondary.
There are no reports of injuries and according to Global B.C., two men were spotted in handcuffs.
