There's been more gun-related violence in Alberta.

CBC News has reported that between five and seven people were shot at a New year's Eve party in the Killarney neighbourhood of Calgary.

At least one person is dead and up to six people are reportedly at various hospitals.

It comes in the same week that 53-year-old Phu Lam gunned down eight people in Edmonton before killing himself in Fort Saskatchewan.

Meanwhile, there was an early-morning stabbing incident in Vancouver, according to News 1130.

A 20-year-old man was sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries after police went to a house on West 20th Avenue near Macdonald Street.
