Metro Vancouver residents will gather in Holland Park to send a message to Americans about Donald Trump

There will be another rally in Metro Vancouver opposing Donald Trump becoming president of the United States.

It will take place at 5 p.m. today (October 22) at Holland Park in Surrey. It's easily accessible by SkyTrain because it's across the street from King George Station.

The organizer, Radical Desi, has invited "all South Asians and other concerned Canadians" to express their opposition to Trump and his "racist ideas".

In the past, rallies have been held against Trump outside the tower bearing his name in downtown Vancouver.

Previous demonstrations have occurred outside the Trump tower on West Georgia Street.

In part, today's event is a response to the U.S.-based Republican Hindu Coalition, which has endorsed Trump's candidacy. According to the rally's organizers, the RHC has left a mistaken impression that South Asians support bigotry.

"So we need to join hands to send a strong message to Trump supporters in U.S. that we do not endorse hate in any form," they declared in a statement.

Republican Hindu Coalition founder Shalabh Kumar says Donald Trump reminds him of Ronald Reagan.

This is not the only way people are trying to convince Americans not to vote for Trump.

Recently, some Canadians have begun telling Americans via video that they have already have a great country. This is designed to defuse Trump's slogan that he will make the country great again.
