Stabbings at Vancouver's Plaza of Nations leave one man dead, two in hospital

      An altercation involving stabbings has left one man dead and left two men in the hospital.

      After 2 a.m. on November 1, two groups of men got into a fight near a taxi stand at the Plaza of Nations at 750 Pacific Boulevard.

      When police officers arrived, they found two men in their 20s suffering from serious stab wounds. Both were taken to hospital in critical condition but one of them, a 25-year-old Burnaby resident, died from his injuries.

      A few hours later, a man with stab wounds checked into Burnaby General Hospital. He is believed to be involved in the Plaza of Nations incident. He was taken to Royal Columbian Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

      Police have taken witnesses and person-of-interest into custody for interviews. No arrests have been announced yet.
