Here's something to make Canucks fans feel better, namely Ryan Kesler getting his ass kicked

We're just over 10 games into the season, and already it looks like Vancouver Canucks fans aren't going to have a lot to cheer about.

An eight-game losing streak somehow doesn't seem nearly as awful as the fact that the team scores about as often as the Elephant Man.

As ugly as last night's 6-3 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs was, there was an additional box of Sifto salt poured into the wound.

You've just seen above where repeat offender Nazem Kadri does his best to take off Daniel Sedin's head six minutes into the third period. It's the kind of stuff that the NHL has repeatedly said it wants out of the game.

The NHL will show exactly how badly it wants such headshots out of the game by giving Kadri nothing but a phone call.

Consider how appalling that was, and combine it with the fact that we look poised to become the worst team in the NHL this year, and it hurts.

In fact it hurts so bad, you likely need something to make you feel better.

So on that tip, remember when Ryan Kesler not only demanded to be traded by the Canucks, but made things worse by giving Vancouver the world's shortest short list of teams he was willing to go to? Sure you do.

Enjoy the clip below, the good times coming courtesy of Max Domi. As bad as the Canucks are being beaten these days, they've got nothing on one of their earliest pre-trainwreck deserters.
