(Update: At 5:55 p.m. TransLink announced that full service has been restored to Gateway Station in Surrey and the Expo LIne is operating "at peak service levels". Passengers may board and disembark at Gateway Station.)

There's been a medical emergency that has closed Gateway Station in Surrey.

According to TransLink, trains are able to pass through the station without stopping.

However, there will be service delays on trains through "much of the rest of the afternoon".

"Buses that normally connect with Gateway Station are being redirected to Surrey Central and Scott Road stations," TransLink said in a statement. "Announcements are being made on the buses to inform customers."

Meanwhile, road conditions on University Boulevard have led to the 99 UBC bus service to detour via West 10th Avenue along Blanca to West 16th Avenue. From there, it's going to Wesbrook Mall before heading toward UBC Loop.

The 125 bus that runs from Patterson Station to BCIT's Burnaby campus is not operating today.
