Vancouver police investigate death in downtown condo

      Police say they've launched a probe into a "suspicious death" at 438 Seymour Street.

      Officers were called to the 31-storey building around 8 a.m. and found a dead person inside.

      No names have been released and detectives from the major crime section are investigating.

      Meanwhile in other police news, a man has turned himself in to the VPD following a March 2 assault on Main Street.

      It occurred around 1 p.m. near the intersection with East 25th Avenue.

      "Following the assault, the suspect fled the area," the VPD stated in a news release. "Images of the assault were captured on video and turned over to police."

      According to the VPD, the victim suffered "minor injuries".
