A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a convicted sex offender who is at large.

Joseph Davis is a 46-year-old four-time federal offender who served a four-year sentence for sexual assault. He was serving a longterm supervision order while staying at a Vancouver halfway house but violated his order by failing to report as required.

In 2001, he was convicted of assault causing bodily harm and forcible confinement of a female sex worker who he invited to his residence.

In December 2007, Davis sexually assaulted a real-estate agent in Winnipeg, Manitoba, after he lured her to his home.

Davis is 5-feet 8-inches tall (173 centimetres), weighs approximately 180 pounds (82 kilograms), and has blond hair with blue eyes.

Davis is believed to have left the Lower Mainland and may be heading toward Manitoba.

      He may be driving a 2000 grey, four-door Mercedes C230 with the B.C. license plate DE5 64E.

Anyone who knows the location of Davis is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
