Vancouver incumbents in some tough races in B.C. election

      An hour after the polls have closed, there are some tight B.C. election races in Vancouver.

      In Vancouver-Fairview, B.C. Liberal Gabe Garfinkel has a 22-vote lead over incumbent New Democrat George Heyman with three of 97 ballot boxes reported.

      In Vancouver–False Creek, incumbent B.C. Liberal Sam Sullivan has a 38-vote lead over the NDP's Morgane Oger with 11 of 93 ballot boxes reported.

      In Vancouver-Fraserview, NDP candidate George Chow has a a 193-vote lead over incumbent B.C. Liberal Suzanne Anton.

      Other incumbents—including the NDP's David Eby and Mabel Elmore and the B.C. Liberals' Andrew Wilkinson—have opened up wide leads in early results.

      The B.C. Liberals are leading in 42 constituencies.
