Conservative Party of Canada looks for the best man for the job

The leader of the federal Conservatives, Andrew Scheer, already has a problem with female voters.

That's because the party's new patriarch-in-chief and father of five has received ringing endorsements from anti-abortion groups. In the past he's been a staunch opponent of same-sex marriage.

But the Conservatives may have compounded Scheer's problems with female voters in a job posting for a director of political operations in Quebec.

The ad repeatedly mentions that the party is looking for a "he" to fill the position. Not a "she", not a "they", and most certainly not a "trans" person.

That prompted the following tweet from Liberal spin doctor Braeden Caley.

Caley is well known to many Vancouverites as the former press secretary to Mayor Gregor Robertson.
