Vancouver Sun crime reporter Kim Bolan has reported that a well known B.C. biker died on Canada Day.

David Giles passed away in an Abbotsford hospital three months after being sentenced to 18 years in prison for conspiracy to import cocaine, conspiracy to traffic, and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The long-time member of the Hells Angels was in poor health during his trial in B.C. Supreme Court.

He was reportedly 67 years old.

Giles was charged following a police sting operation in which officers posed as members of a South American drug-trafficking group.
