Here’s another reason to celebrate living in Vancouver.

Vancouver made it to the top 10 list of most liveable cities in the world in a new global survey.

The city placed third in the 2017 edition of the Ipsos Top Cities Index, sharing the spot with Abu Dhabi.

Zurich is in first place, followed second by Sydney.

After Vancouver and Abu Dhabi, London, Amsterdam, Toronto, Stockholm, Oslo, New York, and Paris round out the top 10 list of most liveable cities.

“Interestingly, while Vancouver ranked higher among Baby Boomers and Gen Xers, and Toronto among Millennials as the best place to live, both Canadian cities made it to the top ten most livable cities across all generations globally,” according to a report released by Ipsos, a New York-based market research company.

The report also stated although Vancouver and Toronto are in the top 10 list of best places to live, neither made it to the top list of cities to visit and do business.

“Consequently, while Vancouver and Toronto are clearly competitive with other major cities around the world in terms of livability, some work likely still needs to be done to promote both cities as tourism and business destinations,” according to the Ipsos report.
